South Carolina Spearfishing club was founded March 4 2003. The
purpose of the club is to network the spearfisherman of the lowcountry to share
ideas and knowledge.
Paul Culver was unanimously voted president at the meeting. There was a
pretty good showing and a good time was had by all. The first meeting was pretty
much just testing the waters to see the level of interest.
Next meeting we will have things a little more organized. Maybe get some
membership cards made up. One of the local dive shops ECDC in Summerville has
promised a 30% discount for Club members!
Also working on a club Big fish competition. Competition will be for a
calendar year. Awards for biggest grouper, amberjack, hog Snapper, red snapper,
lobster, sheepshead, flounder, etc. I will post the current leaders on the
website. All time club records will be kept on the site also. More details are
coming.
